Old times - Good times

These pictures are of my Hungarian "family" and are from the late fifties, I believe. We had soooo much fun back then. And the food was to die for. My mother learned to cook Hungarian food without speaking a word of Hungarian and without Helen or Edith speaking a word of English. I reconnected with them a couple of years ago after several years of not knowing where they were. I thank God for making this happen. Only wish my mother would have still been here to enjoy it with me. She loved them all so.

I pray for all our our brave soldiers at Fort Hood. Believe as you may, but I believe this is the first terrorist attack on US soil since 9/11. Our brave men and women should not have to worry about their safety on the soil that they fight and die for. It needs to be fixed but I am afraid that it will be another political game of who did what when and who knew what when - just fix it.

Last week the USS New York was commissioned. That ship is so beautiful and finally we have some sort of tribute to those in the World Trade Center who lost their lives.
