20th Anniversary of the Komen Indy Race for the Cure

Well it was a muddy mess but none of us in pink were going to let that stand in the way of a great day.  It always is, rain or shine.  It is an inspiring event.  Thanks to Komen Indy and all of the volunteers for making it great!  My 27th year as a survivor and my ninth race and pink parade.

The 50 year survivors back to the 20 year survivors are a pretty small group as you can see.  From that point back the group gets bigger.  The one year and five year survivors being the biggest.  Hopefully, someday these numbers will be reversed.

Much love to all my sisters in pink.  Those before me and those after me.

So disappointing..

They scanned Zenyatta yesterday and found she is no longer with foal.  Maybe it was too soon to bred her as she had practically just came off the track.  Hopefully the next time will take and she has such good owners I am sure they will do only what is best for her.  Afterall, they didn't seriously race her until she was almost four.   I have not seen any updates for Rachel Alexandra.

Will you answer the call?

Noah Gabriel Smurdon

I wanted to share this information with you all.  I could tell you all about Noah, but instead I will post this link so that you can see for yourself what an amazing little boy he is.  I say is not was because as you will see he is still doing good work here on Earth, even though he is in Heaven.  His Mommy and Daddy are amazing people and it is very clear as to the reason Our Lord chose them to be his parents.  If you can, please donate to this cause and I will really appreciate it.  No matter what, please go to this link and read his story.

There you will also find the link to his CaringBridge page where you can know him and his parents even better.

Letting Noah go....

It's official!!

Zenyatta

It's official - on March 10, 2011 they scanned Zenyatta and she is with foal.  She's gonna be a momma!  I am so excited - 11 months is a long time to wait.  I lookin for a big bay colt.

Rachel Alexandra

Also confirmed is that Rachel Alexandra is with foal.  She was bred to Curlin a couple of days before Zenny.  Both mares are due the first week of February, 2012.

Curlin

Maybe Rachel will have a big red colt!

Congrats to Deborah - With All My Heart Blog

Deborah's Scottie, Bella had 5 babies - 4 boys and 1 girl.

Just makes me want a Scottie but Troy still says no to getting a dog.  And if we do, we are still leaning towards a Welsh Corgi.  They are just so hard to find around our area.  Anyway, those Scottie pups sure are too cute, Deborah.

February 6th

February 6th is the birthday of my two favorite guys - my husband Troy

and Ronald Reagan.

And it was announced that Zenyatta will be bred to Bernardini.  Should have a beautiful (and hopefully a bay) baby.
