My poor baby.....
Winston had an accident last Thursday, May 16, 2013. He was either already laying under the truck or ran under the truck as Troy was backing up. He had a concussion (so we had to watch him carefully for 24 hours), a really bad scrape on his nose, a minor scrape on his forehead and a small piece of his ear was split. He is a very lucky dog. And his daddy is lucky that he was barely moving. We think that his lead got caught and he could not get out from under quick enough. But he has not learned his lesson as he was back under the truck yesterday. We sure have learned ours, though.
We will have to take pictures from this side for awhile. The vet said his hair on his nose will probably not grow back as the scrape was pretty deep. But we love him and are so grateful that he is alive. Thank you Jesus!

Oh, Ellen, poor little Winston - just look at that sweet face!!! I'm so happy that he is going to be okay! Have you ever read any of Tasha Tudor's books? She always owned Corgi's and they are always in her BEAUTIFULLY illustrated books!

DeleteJust now saw your post - Win is well on the mend. Corgis have hard heads because they are a herding dog. All fur has grown back in. We were so worried but he pulled through like a trooper. We have learned our lesson and hopefully so has he (although we do not take that for granted). Now everytime we even go near a vehicle he gets in his crate and waits till we are out and in the garage. So smart. Yes I am a huge fan of Tasha.
